Gigi Piscitelli

Gigi is multi-disciplinary Music Producer, Composer, Sound Designer, Recording/Mixer/Live Engineer, Artist and Technologist.

 

He trained under Alan Moulder and Flood at Assault and Battery Studios working in album projects the likes of GOLDFRAPP, THE CHARLATANS, LOU REED, THE KILLERS, MYSTERY JETS, PUSCIFER.

 

Often thinking outside the box, he has worked across and bent many genres of music producing a wide range of artists such as THE BLOODY BEETROOTS, JOHN MEDESKI, ADAM GREEN, BINKI SHAPIRO and scoring for film, TV and advertisement for SKY TV , EXPO and NEXT Model Agency.

 

Gigi's approach to music is based not only on his technical prowess, but also firmly rooted in his skills as a musician and band member. He understands how musicians work and feel, whether in a band or as a solo artist and prides himself on getting the best out of whoever he is working with.  

 

This year Gigi has returned to the studio with JUST ANOTHER ANT to work on a forthcoming album, and he is constantly working with the most exciting underground bands coming through the UK music scene, mixing tracks for GUM TAKES TOOTH and IBIBIO SOUNDMACHINE.

 

He is currently teaching in the MA Media Management, MA Art Management and MSc Creative Technology at Middlesex University London, in his free time he is developing a new recording technique for Interactive Spatial Audio.
