We create original content that embodies the role of the fool to personify man’s idiocy and satirize extremist thought that divides people and communities. Regardless of our race, colour, religious, cultural and social backgrounds we must learn to realize we are all equally entitled to live our life as we please without imposing our personal point of views on others.We are committed to breaking down misconceptions and stereotypes. We strife to bridge the gap between divided communities by using comedy as a vehicle to tackle conflict.

The company’s work stems from a commitment to expose the absurdity of conflict and reveal the human stories beneath the blinding fear and hatred. The group comprises of artists from conflicting backgrounds dedicated to generating original content based on the conflicts shared between them. ‘We are committed to breaking down misconceptions and stereotypes. We strife to bridge the gap between divided communities by using comedy as a vehicle to tackle conflict.’ The company uses comedy and physical theatre as their base for creating content focused on tackling issues of arising from religious, cultural, racial and social disputes. 


Through their shared experiences of conflict they have learned that when they listen to each other's stories, they develop an understanding and empathy, which is the first step to enabling honest dialogue.


‘Our inspiration for our work comes from overcoming past wounds brought on by traumatic events with in our own lives. We draw inspiration from our own truths as a basis for our creative ideas. We are not focused on the political agendas of governments or state. We stand strong in addressing the suffering of the people of the conflict and highlighting the similarities between them.’ 


The company gained excellent success after touring their original production entitled ‘The Arab The Jew and The Chicken’ in England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany, USA and Luxembourg. Since then Conflict Relief has been active in facilitating educational workshops in conflict and comedy at universities, high-schools, colleges and festivals. Alongside their educational programme they have been active in producing comedic shorts for web and television. And most recently they have concluded the creation of their second show 'The God Squad'.
