Andrea Ling
Director and Writer in Theatre and Visual Arts.
The label Crash Collection houses Andrea’s eclectic mix of work in various mediums. Andrea trained on the BA Contemporary Theatre Course at East 15 Acting School: a course which trains performers to devise, write and direct. Andrea is also creator of The Annex Space; a place of experimentation of theatrical practises and a community space for artists to run workshops.
Recently completing a year on the Soho Theatre’s Writers Lab and a 12 week writing course at the Young Vic with playwright Leo Butler, Andrea is currently writing a play based in Tottenham.
As a director: Protest by Brad Birch (Fresh Direction 5 plays project, as part of the Young Vic Directors Program), Killing Claus by Harry Hanson (Tristan Bates), Triptych (Rich Mix), Nomad (Contentious One Exhibition), INK by Lois Baldry(Edinburgh Fringe Festival).
As assistant director: All’s Well That Ends Well (Shakespeare’s Globe), Oliver Twist (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre), Like Enemies of the State (Stasteatern, Stockholm and New Diorama London), Boris Karloff Trainee Assistant Director Award on A Season in the Congo (Young Vic).
